Plant & Fungal Research is the international research journal published by the Institute of Botany, Ministry of Science and Education (MSE) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Formerly known as Proceedings of the Institute of Botany, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences published since 1936. During these years 37 volumes of the proceedings were published.

The Journal is published twice in a year.

Publication is free of charge.

This journal will consider manuscripts on various aspects of botany and mycology, including general issues, taxonomy, floristic, vegetation science, ecology, evolutionary biology, geography and history of flora and vegetation as well as morphology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology of plants and fungi.

The journal was registered at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 19 February 2019.
